The edition of Saturday Night Live that Pedro Pascal presented the previous month revealed that Coldplay will be performing as a musical guest on the show.
The band has appeared on SNL before, most recently in November 2019, when they performed “Orphans” and “Everyday Life,” both of which are taken from albums with the same names.
Yesterday, when they took the stage, Coldplay played ‘The Astronaut,’ their collaboration with Jin of BTS. This was followed by a mash-up of the single ‘Human Heart’ from ‘Music Of The Spheres’ and the classic hit ‘Fix You’ from ‘X&Y.’
At the end of the previous month, Coldplay appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform their song “Clocks” in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the show.
Coldplay has just recently announced four new performances that will be taking place in North America, and tickets are already on sale.

Chris Martin, the band’s frontman, provided the following explanation: “We’re finalizing an album called ‘Moon Music,’ which is the second volume of ‘Music Of The Spheres,’ but it won’t come out for a long while yet.
At some time during this year, it’s possible that we’ll start singing some tunes.
Coldplay published a list of artists that they were listening to at the end of the previous year, which included The 1975, Inhaler, and Stormzy.
