Sen. Kyrsten Sinema caused a stir on Twitter because of the bright yellow dress she wore to President Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday. Users of the social media platform made jokes about the outlandish clothing choice the senator made.
In a sea of Congress lawmakers dressed in black and blue work clothing, Sinema‘s colorful dress with enormous ruffle sleeves stood out like a sore thumb. Many people on Twitter pointed out that it was a blatant attempt to draw attention and mocked her for it.
Twitter user Jason Rector posted a screenshot of the C-Span broadcast that showed Kyrsten Sinema wearing a dress that stood out in stark contrast to the dark colors worn by her colleagues. He captioned the image with the following message: “Kyrsten Sinema……tell me you’re desperate for attention without telling me you’re desperate for attention.”
And attention did really be paid to the politician.
“Why did Kyrsten Sinema wear her Big Bird floaties to the State of the Union address? Did she anticipate that they would land on the water? Roger ZenAF expressed his doubts about the matter in a tweet.
A second Twitter user said that she resembled the character from Sesame Street as well.
Roshan Rinaldi posted a picture of Big Bird sitting among guests in an auditorium with the following: “Not sure about the attire Kirsten Sinema opted to wear to the State of the Union Speech.” Big Bird was seen in the shot.
Others recognized a different little figure from a cartoon or animated program when they looked at Sinema’s clothing.
Who sported it most elegantly? Kysten Sinema or LaLa [sic]?” Tweeting about the yellow Teletubby, Jennifer Theut made reference to it.
Not only was the stunning hue something to analyze, but there were also other notable features.
The enormous sleeves of the dress were another target of ridicule on Twitter.
When President Trump gave her the State of the Union address, did the airbags that were attached to Kyrsten Sinema’s suit go off? Gabe Sanchez, a user, sent a tweet.
Some people have suggested that the onetime Democrat who has now switched parties was just wrong.
Lesley Abravanel, a writer, made a joke on how Kyrsten Sinema was confused and assumed that this was the Grammy Awards.
Dara Faye, a former contender for the congressional seat in California, added to the humor at the awards event.
Krysten Sinema said in a tweet that she was “simply happy to be nominated” when asked about her nomination for the State of the Union award for Best Supporting Actress in a Live Circus Performance.
In Washington, DC, people often stop and stare because of how daring Sinema’s style can be. She has been seen in the Senate chambers with knee-high boots, multicolored wigs, flowery skirts reminiscent of the 1950s, knee-high wigs, and even a denim vest.

Although the lawmaker’s manner is not for everyone, it does seem to be appealing to parts of the public. Reportedly, in addition to her full-time job working for the government, Sinema also has a side business in which she uses Facebook Marketplace to sell secondhand products such as high-heeled shoes.
On social media, members of Congress, including Sinema, were making fun of each other for the clothes they wore to the State of the Union address.

Twitter users also used the opportunity to poke fun at Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who was seen in public wearing a cream-colored coat with a fluffy, fur-trimmed collar.
MSNBC producer Manny Fidel said in a tweet that “Marjorie Taylor Greene and Kyrsten cinema look like comedic-relief villains in a 1990s Final Fantasy game.”
People have said that Taylor Greene’s appearance causes them to think of Cruella de Vil, the antagonist from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians.
I have reason to suspect that Marjorie Taylor Greene intends to leave the State of the Union address delivered by Joe Biden early so that she may return to her house and abduct more Dalmatians.
