The Case for the Kansas City Chiefs Winning the Super Bowl
Quickly remove the ball from Patrick Mahomes’ possession.
Despite how much fun the offense is and how much Jalen Hurts can do, the Chiefs’ main problem is the Eagles’ pass rush.
When they want to, Mahomes and company can grind it out a bit and keep the clock under control. They have no trouble getting into shootouts. They cannot, however, count on the average wide receivers to create significant plays down the field.
High ankle sprains recover slowly. Mahomes played well on it, but he won’t be the same player who makes magic happen.
He is a superb pocket passer, which is great, but he must rely on the rushing game, which was ineffective against the Bengals, and he must come up with a ton of quick strikes to get the ball to his players when they are moving.
Target Isiah Pacheco often. Jerick McKinnon may be released after two quiet playoff games. Skyy Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scandling, and other peripheral players should be avoided.
Mahomes is the best at improving his teammates.

The Chiefs and Mahomes had the most yards per pass attempt in the NFL. The Philadelphia defense gave up the fewest yards per pass attempt in the NFL.
On the other hand, Philadelphia is 14-0 when they run for more than 100 yards, and Kansas City gives up yards on the ground when teams are willing to grind.
